In our world today, we are faced with many health challenges, not only with diseases - acute and chronic but with a slow intoxification of our bodies with internally and externally produced harmful chemicals, including bacterial toxins. A slow, almost unavoidable poisoning of our food, water, the air we breath, EMF from computers, T.V., phones, power lines and medications...
What Are Toxins?
Toxins are a general term given to accumulated waste products. These can generally be divided into three distinct groups:
1. Exogenous wastes: such as those ingested (chemical wastes derived from foods or drug therapy etc) or inhaled.
2. Endogenous wastes: such as those produced by bacteria, viruses or the body’s reaction to them (pus, etc) or those produced by normal metabolism.
3. Autogenous wastes: these relate to an individual’s genetic potential for generating particular kinds of wastes that have an affinity for particular varieties of tissue, such as can be seen in situations like arthritis.
Many if not most disease processes occur either as a direct result of, or are aggravated by accumulated wastes, which may have been processed by the body in an inappropriate manner. Commonly accepted examples of gross toxicity can be found in the liver in persons suffering from jaundice, and in the gastrointestinal tract with constipation. More subtle toxin accumulation can reduce the efficiency of a vast array of physiological activities by altering intracellular and extracellular pH and disturbing the functions of numerous enzymatic and other reactions. Acute symptoms such as fevers and inflammation may be seen as attempts to rid the body of toxic materials. Chronic diseases such as the arthritis and many skin conditions, may reflect a self-generated or inherited inability to remove wastes from the affected area, and often the autogenous wastes that these processes create can contribute to and prolong the disease.
Why Should Homeopathy Be Considered?
Carefully selected homeopathic medicines are particularly useful in cases where a blockage exists to the normal detoxification processes, or there appears to be an impediment to the normal flow of energy through the area in question. Homeopathy has distinct advantages over some other methods of detoxification:
When Is Detoxification Necessary?
Any condition which is either chronic in its nature, or fails to respond to treatment within a reasonable period of time, should be subject to detoxification. A detoxification medicine would be wasted for example on an acute inflammatory process. But if that inflammatory process became entrenched and failed to respond to remedial measures which would normally be expected to correct the problem, then there is a definite case for the use of a detoxification medicine.
Detoxification should also be considered (once the possibility for any serious pathology has been excluded) in cases where there is a chronic lack of energy, the person in question suffers from continual infections and is susceptible to almost every common disease trigger, multiple allergies, continual headaches or digestive disorders, or chronic skin or respiratory disorders.
Removing the toxins, or at least lowering their level and influence will assist the body to go back to a more far more healthy terrain which can be treated more easily with natural medicine.
Modern Day Examples Of Toxins Found In Our Bodies
When looked for, all of these toxins can be found in our bodies:
Dioxin: cancers, brain damage, endometriosis
PCB: leukaemia and other cancers, heart problems
Pesticides and Insecticides: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Parkinson's Disease, bladder and colon cancer, other cancers, heart pathology
Phtalates (leaching form plastics): hormonal modifications
Styrene and Benzene: hepatitis, leukaemia, encephalopathy, paralysis, convulsions, arrhythmias, cancers, CFS
Toulene: nail deformity, menstrual disturbances, liver destruction, heamatological problems, heart attacks, depression, paraesthesia, neuropathis, CFS
Vinyl: cancer, birth defects, genetic damage, auto-immune diseases
Xenoestrogens (mainly phtalates): mimics oestrogens and causes early puberty, endometriosis and gynaecological cancers
Fluoride: behavioural changes, arthritis, bone cancers, heart, brain, kidney injuries and hormonal changes, thyroid dysfunction
Chlorine: increases cholesterol levels because of direct damage to vascular endothelium (cholesterol is used to patch the damaged wall); transformed into chloramines and chloroform when it comes into contact with proteins, becoming a carcinogen; tyhroid dysfunction
All The Heavy Metals: aluminium, arsenic, cadminum, lead, mercury and many others are often the 'undetected' and the cause of multiple diseases in each and every organ and function of the body

Homeopathy is a traditional medicine. It maybe used in conjunction with other medicines. For any ongoing chronic condition, it is important to be assessed or examined by your healthcare professional or specialist.
ALWAYS SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE IN EMERGENCIES.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) as part of the Australian Government of Health and Aging is responsible for ensuring that health care products available in Australia are of an acceptable standard. All products sold in my clinic meet TGA requirements. I have a TGA number. Legal TGA guidelines in relation to homeopathic treatment requires that I inform all patients that they use homeopathic treatment under the following guidelines:
"Use only as directed. If symptoms persist see your health care practitioner. This advice does not replace professional care. These products/these suggestions are for minor ailments only, and are not suitable for the treatment of chronic serious or ongoing illness."
The TGA requires Homeopaths to be very clear that homeopathy cannot claim to treat any condition or illness. Any claims that I treat any health conditions such as arthritis, auto-immune conditions, skin conditions, irritable bowel syndrome, candida or infertility, to name just a few examples, are prohibited.
